Sea energy plants

The image above illustrates a sea wave energy plant based on a wave energy conversion machine called the Oscillating Device.

The Oscillating Device comprises an annual shaped floater mounted to a floating column by means of an universial joint mechanism. The machine is equipped with an electrical generator which is activated by pivotal and vertical movement between the floater, column and two floating water chambers.

The Oscillating Device can be used in small waves, e.g. wave height 0.5 meter, as well as in large ocean waves. The performance of each machine can via subsea cable or wireless connection be remotely monitored from a PC placed e.g. in an office onshore.
